Welcome Next Door.  We are founders Matt O’Shea and Joey Rotter, friends and collaborators who - you guessed it - live next door to one another.  The ease of quick pop ins and last minute hangs led to a creative chemistry that snowballed into this company.  Born from the idea that no one’s going to hand us the career we want, we’re eager to make it for ourselves, and to help you do the same.  While we both started as actors, over the past 5 years we’ve stepped more and more behind the camera, writing, directing, editing, composing and learning how to create beautiful and entertaining films while maintaining a work and company culture that’s both joyous and efficient. 

As a production company, we work as a team with a network of NY based creators to bring film visions to life, recognizing the unique power of motion pictures to tell stories that make an impact and connect us through our shared humanity.
